Welcome
The K/Dimbani School is located on the south western tip of Zanzibar which is off the East Coast of Africa and part of Tanzania. The K/Dimbani School has a primary and first school which opened on 9th February 1998 with 168 pupils. The school now has 500 pupils aged 4-16 with 20 teachers and 12 classes – both boys and girls are taught at the school.
The Friends of the K/Dimbani School is a voluntary agency based in West Somerset whose objects are to support the development of the school.
The Friends are supported by the Lions Club of Minehead & District in England & the Dar es Salaam Lions Club in Tanzania
All donations and money raised are sent to the school – none is taken for administration costs
Four thousand dollars are sent each Summer and channelled through the International Lions Club in Dar es Salaam to ensure accountability
